For some people who are over 65 or disabled, painting the exterior of a house is simply too physical of a job. The cost of hiring out the work can be considerable, and the bulk of the expense is in labor.
The annual Lincoln Paint-a-Thon event is here to help. Every year, a few deserving recipients are selected. Small teams of volunteers come together the day of the event to brighten their homes, and our community – one bucket of paint at a time. With this simple service, our volunteers help low-income individuals continue living independently in their own home.
The 2017 Lincoln Paint-a-Thon will be held on August 19. Sign up today to volunteer as an individual or part of a team, or submit a homeowner application to have your house painted. And be sure to stop by our donation page. We rely on the financial contributions of individuals and businesses to purchase paint and other much needed supplies.
It's through the incredible generosity of your time, energy and financial support that the Lincoln Paint-a-Thon is able to continue. We can't thank you enough.
Let’s see what a few helping hands and a little paint can do.
